Security Operations Analyst

Overview Security Operations Analyst | Technology - Information Security. Thomson Reuters is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join the global Security Operations Center (SOC). The candidate will help manage cybersecurity alerts, events, and incidents and collaborate with ISRM capabilities to improve Thomson Reuters security posture. Responsibilities Drive network security monitoring and incident response for a global enterprise network Respond, analyze, and triage alerts from various security tools including IDS and SIEM Collaborate with other ISRM teams to provide feedback on cybersecurity detection and alerting capabilities Perform malware analysis (e.g., obfuscated code) using open-source and vendor-provided tools Communicate alerts to clients regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications, and operating systems Create and maintain standard operating procedures and other related documentation Generate end-of-shift reports for documentation and knowledge transfer to subsequent analysts on duty; maintain records of security monitoring and incident response activities using case management and ticketing systems; prepare briefings and reports of analysis methodology and results About You Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years of experience in a SOC or incident response team is an advantage Hands-on experience performing security investigations across platforms including OS, networks, cloud, messaging, etc. Experience in a technology or security-related discipline with knowledge of networking, workstations, servers, OS Experience with security tools including SIEM, EDR, AV, forensics, firewalls, cloud, etc. Knowledge of cybersecurity attack and defense techniques Interest in continually learning and developing new cybersecurity skills Experience with cloud cybersecurity tools a plus Amenable to work on a 24/7 shift pattern What’s in it For You?
