Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Service Desk L2 support: Work closely and effectively with Service Desk teammates to provide end-user PC, Mac and Linux support. Work closely with Application Development teams to provide support of cloud and on-premise applications. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• IT Architecture: Work closely with Infrastructure Architects to maintain overall IT infrastructure topology and landscape. Update and maintain accurate blueprints.
• Cybersecurity: Work closely with Information Security Officer in various security concepts such as intrusions, network intrusions, web defacements, malicious emails, root and user level compromises, worms, botnet infections and other anomalous activity.
• Operations: Deploy, maintain, execute and support procedures for high site reliability operations. Provide advanced support to IT Helpdesk engineers to ensure problems are addressed promptly and appropriately. Maintain a list of learnt actions and propose actions to solve root causes.
• Networks: Maintain site network infrastructure to ensure reliability and security for local LANs and wireless connectivity.
• Research and innovation: Work closely with Infrastructure Architects to produce innovative ideas and use of available/emerging technologies to address business problems.
• Policy and compliance: Execute and maintain standard operational procedures (SOPs) and IT policies. Audit IT operational environment to comply with approved SOPs and policies.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year working experience in IT infrastructure operations.
• Minimum 1 year working experience in IT architecture design and development.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proactive and fast learner. Passion about new concepts and technologies.
• Strong analytical mind and willingness to accept new challenges.
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible for on-call duties (whenever required).
