Position Overview: long-term/permanent work from home. Location: Manila or any other city in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Handle all IT work including firewall, security, and users VPN from home and from office.
• Work with all teams in the global company and respond to requests to facilitate connectivity, access, and permissions to various applications.
• Work with the IT director on IT projects, including new suggestions, overall design, and reports via Jira and email.
• Collaborate with DevOps and support teams to resolve issues.

Skills and Experience

• Experience of at least 5 years as IT staff.
• Experience in third-party handling (suppliers, vendors, carriers, etc).
• Fluent English; worked directly with US or EU customers.
• SysAdmin proficiency in main Linux OS flavors: Red Hat/CentOS 6, 7, 8, Ubuntu.
• Microsoft Windows proficiency: administration level; knowledge of latest Windows OS releases (Windows 7/8/10) and Windows Server 2008/2012; Remote Desktop.
• Scripting: one of the following: Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Networking know-how: Fortigate firewall setup; basic WiFi knowledge; Static routing, DHCP.
• IT automation using technologies such as Ansible.
• Solutions-oriented, fast-paced, team player.

• Infrastructure maintenance: LAMP, monitoring tools.
• Bug tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Server configuration tools like OMSA, PSP.
• Monitoring skills: Nagios, Centreon, Zabbix; configuration management: puppet/chef/salt.
• Configuration management: ability to support developers; Makefile, Scons, RPM building.
• RHCE certification.
• Networking: advanced troubleshooting, WiFi; fiber connectivity (single-mode/multimode); L3 routing (BGP), UDP unicast/multicast.
• Firewall setup familiarity; Fortigate appliances; VPN for clients.
• Low latency switches familiarity: Cisco Nexus, Dell Force10, Arista; switches, Solarflare NICs.
• Experience with remote or on-site server work.
• VOIP knowledge (SIP signaling, RTP; firewall considerations); SIP Trunk troubleshooting.
• Virtualization and cloud: QEMU, Docker, AWS, GCP; cloud networking.
