Associate Data Scientist, FX Trade Surveillance

LSEG FX is looking for an Associate Data Scientist to drive the development of FX financial markets surveillance algorithms. The successful candidate will work alongside other data scientists, QAs, business analysts and DevOps engineers across the London Stock Exchange Group to assist in delivering exceptional FX surveillance solutions to internal and external clients.**Role Responsibilities*** Support LSEG FX Surveillance projects, leveraging technical expertise to remove obstacles and to find creative solutions* Build surveillance applications and tools for LSEG FX utilising data science techniques* Support LSEG FX Surveillance applications and tools* Write optimised code for LSEG FX surveillance applications and tools**Key Behaviours*** Able to map business requirements to identified issues* Able to create algorithms that are fitting and computationally efficient* Able to translate technical findings to non-technical users and communicate using well-designed visualisations* Innovative, receptive to change and new ways of thinking* Collaborative and willing to work within a small team of people based out of different time zones across the globe**Relevant Experience*** 3+ years of experience in a Data Science-related permanent role* Hands-on experience with Python, OLAP tools (Spark) and SQL (any flavour)* Knowledge of Plotly/Dash visualisation tools* Ability to handle version control and collaborative software development tools such as Bitbucket and Git* Use of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence* Familiarity with PyCharm/any other popular IDE**Degree Specialism (or equivalent)**Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Maths or Engineering**Personality Traits*** Comfortable in dynamic/fast-paced environment* Good listener* Objective* Efficient* Clear and concise communicator**Essential Skills****AWS Infrastructure*** Amazon SageMaker* S3**Additional Desirable Skills****Tools*** Jupyter Notebook**AWS Infrastructure*** EC2* EMR* Lambda**Operating Systems*** Linux, Windows**Certificates (or equivalent)*** AWS Cloud Practitioner / AWS Developer / AWS Data Analytics**Desired Experience/Knowledge****Visualisation Tools*** Tableau* PowerBI**DevOps*** Control-M* JenkinsJoin us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
