What You’ll Do
  • Technical Leadership - 70%
    • Implement, drive, and manage high-standard practices across the software development lifecycle, including feature planning and estimation, automated testing, development, deployment, and user acceptance testing.
    • Deliver the software foundation enabling product engineers to operate within a world-class software development team and a product-driven culture of rapid testing and learning.
    • Find ways to streamline and standardize the development process.
    • Decide the platform and contribute to overall technology design and architecture.
    • Provide technical mentorship and promote industry best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Object-Oriented Programming.
    • Provide performance evaluation and deep technical leadership within the team.
  • Development - 30%
    • Define, develop, test, and deliver software products to high standards at the desired cost.
    • Ensure code quality in line with team-agreed principles.
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical leadership or management experience.
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach junior, mid, and senior developers.
  • Extensive experience with complex architectures and behavior.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (product owners, clients).
  • Strong knowledge of TDD and OOP.
  • Previous experience as a developer with Ruby on Rails or ability to read RoR.
  • Deep knowledge of web standards, design, and usability.
  • Good systems design skills and excellent communication/collaboration skills.
  • Experience in defining and building distributed systems and advocating for automated testing.
