Overview

Cybersecurity Policy and Governance Analyst

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Policy and Governance Analyst to develop, maintain, and govern cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks, while aligning with organizational goals. The analyst will promote awareness, collaboration, and strong governance practices across both technical and business teams.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls .
  • Ensure alignment with best practices and industry benchmarks .
  • Manage policies and processes within the GRC system of record (ServiceNow GRC) .
  • Communicate and promote policies to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of policies and controls .
  • Identify gaps and drive policy updates to reflect evolving threats and technologies .
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements (e.g., TSA, NIST 800-53).
  • Facilitate cybersecurity policy governance boards and collaborate with strategy architects.
  • Promote cybersecurity policy awareness across executives, employees, partners, and customers .
  • Collaborate with Risk Management Operations and technology teams to support enforcement and implementation.
  • Support integration of industry benchmarks (e.g., CIS, STIG ) into operational practices.
  • Participate in advisory committees and consult on policy development.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity policy, governance, or risk management .
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks).
  • Experience working with GRC platforms (preferably ServiceNow GRC).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and audit processes.
  • Background in regulated industries or large enterprises .
  • Exposure to automation tools for compliance and policy management.
  • Knowledge of emerging threats and technologies .
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills .
