Radiologic Technologist Job ID: 17491 | Posted: 11/12/2025 | Apply by: 11/26/2025 Project Context and Scope Under the direct supervision of the Senior Migration Health Nurse, and with the technical guidance from the IOM Teleradiology Center and overall supervision of the Chief of Mission for administrative matters, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing screening X‑ray of refugees and immigrants in the IOM Health Assessment Programme. Tasks Take high‑quality chest X‑ray images of migrants according to IOM and international radiographic standards, and capture additional views when requested. Explain X‑ray procedures to applicants and answer queries; prepare equipment and examination rooms, perform ID checks, enter biodata into CR/DR machines, and label images correctly. Apply proper radiographic techniques and radiation protection procedures, including lead shielding and collimation, and monitor applicants during examinations. Process digital images on CR/DR machines, review quality, and repeat if needed; report urgent findings to radiologists or physicians. Maintain high‑quality chest X‑rays through technique utilization, quality checks, and training; act as the unit’s quality assurance focal person when required. Promote overall radiation safety by wearing badges, interpreting badge results, performing focal duties, and communicating with authorities. Conduct routine quality assurance of CR/DR machines, manage equipment performance checks, and coordinate maintenance with service providers. Improve workflow by applying quality control and revising operating procedures to ensure accurate data entry and timely delivery of images and reports. Prepare daily worklists, barcodes, verify applicant identities, counsel on radiography, upload images to the e‑Medical website, or burn them on CDs. Generate statistical summaries of radiology unit operations and maintain records. Coordinate with radiologists or teleradiology centers for chest X‑ray reading, serve as the focal person for the reading workflow, and deliver reports to panel physicians. Implement infection control measures and keep a tidy work environment. Suggest additional improvements to quality, speed, or safety of radiological procedures. Perform any other duties as assigned. Performance Indicators Good‑quality chest X‑ray images validated by panel physicians, radiologists, and the CMHO. Outputs Daily time record verified by the supervisor. Task checklist based on the terms of reference. Education, Experience and Skills Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution where national regulations permit the responsibilities. Valid license to practice radiography, if applicable. Languages English Tagalog Proficiency in IOM’s official languages (English, French, Spanish) will be evaluated during the selection process.
