Mercer We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Sentinel team at Mercer. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. You will be part of a newly established and growing Mercer Sentinel team located in the Philippines, reporting into the Mercer Sentinel Pacific (Australia) team, and interacting with Mercer Sentinel teams in Singapore, London, and US regions – with the potential for overseas work opportunities in global locations for high performers in the long term. We will count on you to: Participate in remote Operational Due Diligence (ODD) reviews of fund managers and their third parties including administrators, custodians, IT/service providers, and middle/back office providers via videoconference. Review and evaluate key processes and controls including trading lifecycle processes, compliance monitoring, NAV/valuation, cash management, reconciliations, fee calculations, corporate actions, and fund accounting. Assess IT general controls (access management, change management, backups), application controls, cybersecurity posture, business continuity/disaster recovery, and vendor management practices. Analyze documentation including data request responses, policies, audit reports, and regulatory reports. Write high quality, in-depth reports detailing key risks, observations, and operational processes. Perform supporting tasks including meeting scheduling, report formatting, invoicing, and expense management. Support business development by contributing to client proposals, sample reports, and client calls as needed. What you need to have: University degree required, with a degree in relevant commercial, business, economics, finance, client services (financial) or accounting disciplines preferred. Previous experience in risk, compliance, investment/operational consulting, funds management, internal audit, external audit, investment operations, and/or fund administration. Experience at fund managers or working with/consulting to fund managers strongly preferred. Very high English proficiency required (verbal and written). Ability to write complex, coherent reports suitable for an advice business. Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and proficient in Microsoft Excel. Self‑motivated working style with demonstrated ability to work independently on client projects and the ability to work well in a team. Strong project management skills and the ability to motivate others. What makes you stand out: Experience with the Dasseti due diligence platform strongly preferred (but not required). Prior exposure to global operational due diligence or investment management environments. Working towards advanced degree (MSc, MBA) or professional designations such as CPA, CFA, CAIA, or relevant IT/cyber credentials (CISSP, CISA) preferred (but not required).
