Business Group Manager

The Business Group Manager is responsible for overseeing the business operations of two business units, including processed meat and non‑food teams. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure that business objectives are met and operations run smoothly. Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement business strategies and plans for the group of departments or business units. Align departmental goals with overall company objectives. Monitor market trends and business opportunities to drive growth and efficiency. Financial Management: Oversee budget planning, allocation, and management for the group. Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Implement cost‑control measures and financial strategies to enhance profitability. Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective operations across the departments or business units. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop managers and teams within the group. Foster a collaborative and high‑performance culture. Ensure clear communication of goals, expectations, and responsibilities. Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure cohesive and integrated business strategies. Facilitate communication and cooperation between business units. Client and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Address and resolve high‑level client issues and concerns. Represent the company at industry events and meetings as needed. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present business performance reports to senior management. Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance against goals and identify improvement opportunities. Utilize data and analytics to inform decision‑making and strategy development. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards. Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Oversee audits and reviews to ensure operational integrity. Sales Management Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets. Set clear sales targets for teams and monitor performance regularly. Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market insights to optimize pricing, product mix, and promotional efforts. Drive new customer acquisition and retention strategies across both business units. Collaborate closely with marketing and trade marketing teams to align sales campaigns and product positioning. Lead major customer negotiations and manage key account relationships. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry or any science related. 8+ years of experience in business management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the sales, supply chain or logistics industry. Proven track record of driving business growth and operational efficiency. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficient in business management software and tools.
