- Open to Filipino and Filipino-Chinese candidates who are proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin and English.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, or any related discipline.
- Prior experience as a paralegal or as a translator in the Supreme Court, law firms, or government institutions is required.
- Should be capable of multitasking, with strong skills in organizing, planning, prioritizing tasks, and monitoring workflows, processes, and related documentation.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly and accurately analyze information, make sound decisions, and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
- Must be a team player and comfortable working in a collaborative environment with peer review processes.
- Proficient in using computers and various software applications, including CLM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Translate or interpret Mandarin and English legal content accurately.
- Mandarin Legal Translator is responsible for reviewing, abstracting, and analyzing commercial contracts and legal documents (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, license agreements).
- Mandarin Legal Translator is responsible for reviewing agreements and extracting important information such as parties, contract terms, dates, fees, obligations, and renewal/termination provisions.
- Preparing contracts and related legal documents using approved templates and guidelines.
- Assisting with contract negotiations and communicating proposed changes with relevant parties.
- Adding appropriate confidentiality or document-control watermarks to contracts and supporting documents.
- Draft, redline, and edit legal documents under the supervision of legal teams.
- Extract and summarize key contract information for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Ensure contracts follow company/client policies, legal standards, and guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks on legal data and contract records for accuracy.
- Support contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes such as tracking, loading, and updating documents.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore legal teams to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
- Maintain organized legal files and documentation systems.
- Assist in identifying errors, risks, or inconsistencies in contracts and legal data. RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
