Things to know before applying: you must have your own work equipment you are able to work remotely you can work full-time for this role experience working with clients/companies outside PH is an advantage only candidates who meet the requirements will be contacted Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to manage and guide our distributed team of software engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in technical work. This role combines platform operations management, hands-on technical contribution, and team leadership responsibilities, requiring someone who can effectively bridge the gap between technical execution and team leadership while working in a distributed environment. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management (40% to 60%) Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 software engineers in a remote working environment Help manage team rotations to align support activities with development squad sprints Implement and maintain Kanban methodologies for support operations Manage support ticket queue and handle escalations effectively Coordinate with other squad leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables Oversee access rights management and system permissions Support professional development initiatives Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation Platform Operations & Technical Leadership (40% to 60%) Monitor and maintain platform operability, including: Managing disk space issues Addressing latency concerns Handling high error rate incidents Monitoring and resolving CPU/memory utilisation issues Lead severity one incident response and resolution Manage firefighter rotation for operational support Hands-on technical work including: Direct involvement in ticket resolution (2-4 hours per ticket) Contributing to smaller technical tasks and improvements Provide technical guidance to the team on support tickets Assist in troubleshooting critical issues and support escalations Ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices Participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes Qualifications: 4-5 years of hands-on software development experience 2-3 years of technical team management experience Proven track record of leading remote/distributed teams Strong understanding of Kanban methodologies and practices Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal Experience with support ticket management and escalation processes Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different time zones Strong track record in stakeholder management and relationship building 3-5 years of software engineering experience with: Java development (ideally servlets and JSPs) JavaScript MySQL and complex SQL query writing AWS experience required, preferably experience with DevOps and container technologies Strong understanding of database design principles Experience with: S3 and on-premises synchronization RDS database management EC2 instance management ECS/Fargate containerization Linux server administration and bash scripting Hiring Process: Phone screening Behavioral interview Client interview About Adaca: Adaca is at the forefront of bridging software development solutions by connecting Australian mid-tier companies with top-tier talents in the Philippines.
