Software Firmware

Job Role & Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for software, firmware, and electronic components including the Kanary software platform and IoT devices. Collaborate with the development team to understand product designs and specifications. Perform manual and automated testing to identify, document, and resolve defects. Work with hardware and software tools to simulate and test product environments. Analyze test data and report findings to the development team and management. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field, including software, firmware, and testing tools. Assist in the development of quality assurance policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with software developers, firmware engineers, electronic hardware designers, and management to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and drive quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle.Qualifications/ Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, specifically with software and firmware testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages. Knowledge of electronics and experience with hardware testing is highly desirable. Preferred Skills: Certifications in Quality Assurance or related fields. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.Salary to be discussed
