Position Overview: The Mandarin/Chinese Translator will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content from English to Mandarin (and vice versa) to support Orro Home’s communication, marketing, and operations with Chinese-speaking clients, suppliers, and partners. This role requires strong language proficiency, attention to detail, and cultural awareness to ensure clear and accurate communication across markets. Key Responsibilities: Translate product descriptions, promotional materials, and marketing content between English and Mandarin (Simplified and/or Traditional). >Provide real-time or written translation during meetings, emails, and chats with Chinese-speaking suppliers or partners. >Review and proofread translated materials for grammatical accuracy, tone, and cultural appropriateness. >Assist the marketing and content team in creating localized campaigns tailored for Mandarin-speaking audiences. >Translate and interpret during livestreams, product negotiations, or customer inquiries as needed. >Ensure consistency in terminology and messaging across platforms. >Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and company data. Qualifications: >Bachelor’s degree in Language Studies, Translation, Communication, Business, or related field. >Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (read, write, and speak). >Proven experience in translation or interpretation (e-commerce or marketing experience is an advantage). >Strong attention to detail and ability to convey tone and meaning accurately >Familiar with Chinese e-commerce and cultural nuances is a plus. >Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace tools. >Key Competencies >Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Mandarin >Accuracy and cultural sensitivity >Strong organizational and multitasking skills >Professionalism and discretion >Collaboration and adaptability Work Schedule: >Monday to Saturday - 9AM to 6PM - Full-time (Onsite) >May require coordination with teams or partners in different time zones.
