Truck Mechanic

-Performs every removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems of the trucks
-Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes, brake, wheel, tire and battery services, belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement
-Performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems
-Assesses trucks’ condition by conducting daily inspections to accurately diagnose and to work on repair issues
-Keeps equipment available at all times for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades
-Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems during preventive maintenance schedule
-Maintains equipment and truck records by recording services and repairs
-Leads in the actual rescue of trucks due to delays encountered
-Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate
-Fully adheres to the company’s code of discipline Performs other tasks that the Head Mechanic and/or Trucking Head may assign from time to time

Qualifications:
-Graduate or Undergraduate of any Automotive Course
-Experienced in Wing-Van Units
-With knowledge in Preventive Maintenance
