Autocadd / Steel Detailer

Key responsibilities
a. Create fabrication and erection drawings: Transform engineering and architectural designs into detailed drawings that guide steel fabricators and erectors.
b. Interpret design plans: Analyze architectural and structural drawings to understand the design intent and requirements.
c. Ensure accuracy and compliance: Verify that drawings are accurate and comply with industry standards (e.g., AISC, AWS) and local building codes.
d. Collaborate with project teams: Work with engineers, architects, and fabricators to resolve design issues and ensure the project meets specifications and deadlines.
e. Utilize CAD software: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Tekla Structures or Advance Steel, to create 2D and 3D models and drawings.
f. Minimize field modifications: Identify and resolve potential construction issues during the detailing phase to avoid problems during erection.

Required skills
a. Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
b. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD)
c. Understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
d. Strong communication and collaboration skills
e. Detail-oriented and organized
