Stockman

Objectives: Manage inventory, which includes receiving, organizing, and stocking goods, as well as maintaining accurate records and ensuring stockroom cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities also extend to assisting with sales and customer service, preparing orders for delivery, conducting inventory counts, and executing minor repairs or price changes as needed. Roles and Responsibilities: nventory management: Receive deliveries, check for accuracy and quality, and process new stock. Organize and maintain inventory in storage areas, ensuring proper storage conditions. Record-keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records, often using management software, and report any discrepancies. Stockroom and warehouse operations: Keep stockrooms and warehouses clean, organized, and safe, including proper disposal of expired or spoiled items. Order fulfillment: Prepare, pack, and assist in the loading and unloading of orders for delivery or shipment. Stock movement: Replenish shelves with products, ensuring proper stock rotation (e.g., "first-in, first-out"). Sales and customer support: Assist with sales floor replenishment and provide customer assistance when stockroom duties are completed. Inventory counts: Actively participate in regular inventory audits and counts to reconcile discrepancies. Other duties: May include minor repairs to store equipment, executing price changes, and assisting with sales events. Qualifications: Physical fitness: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy items. Organizational skills: Strong ability to keep things orderly and well-arranged. Attention to detail: Crucial for accurately receiving, storing, and counting stock. Computer skills: Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management software are often required.
