Operations Head Mechanic

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management: Supervise and train a team of mechanics, assign work orders, and conduct performance evaluations.
Maintenance Operations: Plan, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
Technical Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment and vehicles.
Inventory & Procurement: Manage spare parts inventory, track usage, and order necessary parts to avoid delays.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and OSHA standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, service logs, and maintenance reports.
Operational Reporting: Advise management on the overall condition of the fleet, identifying cost-effective solutions for repairs or replacements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Several years of experience as a mechanic, with demonstrated experience in leading a team.
Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of diesel/gas engines, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic equipment.
Leadership: Ability to mentor, train, and supervise technicians.
Organization: Strong organizational and communication skills for managing workflows and documentation.
