This includes reviewing and analyzing contractual, medical, functional and occupational informationo Coordinate appropriate interventions including, but not limited to: Independent Medical Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Ergonomic assessments, Medical Consultant Opinions, Rehabilitation Consultant resources, and Consulting Mental Health Expertso Work collaboratively with insured employees, clients, lawyers, health care practitioners and other stakeholders to obtain information, provide claim status, create action plans and communicate verbal and written decisions while maintaining confidentiality and privacyo Conduct telephone interviews to obtain information to develop and maintain outcome-focused case management plans to support employees in their recovery and return to worko Identify and assess medical and non-medical influencing factors, functional capability, restrictions and limitationso Build strong relationships with our clients: employers and their employees o Participate in face to face (virtual) client meetingso Engage in continuous learning about disability practices and toolsRequired Qualifications:o Degree in Nursing or any allied medical courseso At least 2 years related experience in disability case managemento Strong BPO Healthcare experienceo Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learnnew and complex computer system applicationso Ability to multi-task including the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each productCompetencies:o Critical thinking and analytical skills with a passion for solving challenging situationso Customer service focus; demonstrating empathy, with outstanding communication and listening skillso Ability to prioritize work items in order to meet client service standards and Sun Life best practice guidelineso Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail with complex claims and contractso Adaptability, flexibility, and excellent organization skillso Ability to make sound decisions, supported by strong rationaleo Resiliency and ability to manage challenging situationso Identifying opportunities to improve processeso Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language)o Collaborative Team Player who can effectively work independently and with others
