Job Description:

This role is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and coordination services to the Global Mobility team, for all matters relating to international assignments, transfers, and other mobility-related functions.

  • Perform end-to-end global mobility activities and lead projects in compliance with established procedures, strategies, and methodologies.

  • Contribute as subject matter expert by applying technical expertise in processing all taxation requirements, shadow payroll, global tax return authorization list, income information for year-end reporting, mobility processing, and relevant reporting.

  • Work with tax vendors to track social security certificates of coverage and to ensure shadow payroll is processed on a timely basis

  • Provide guidance and training to junior members of the team regarding query resolutions for unique cases and process exceptions.

  • Conduct knowledge transfers for new processes and procedures.

  • Initiate and manage key mobility coordination, documentation, and updates with AECOM’s accredited partners, internal customers, and stakeholders.

  • Support in the preparation of multiple reports and provide complex analysis, insights, and recommendations.

  • Present to key stakeholders per agreed criteria, metrics, and content with the support of Manager/Team Lead.

  • Manage and communicate critical statutory and compensation related requirements and coordination with relevant payroll teams.

  • Manage and process all tax requirements such as, but not limited to, shadow payroll, global tax return authorization list, compensation collection for tax returns, and income information for year-end reporting.

  • Assess identified issues and collate documentation to assist in investigating and resolve complex issues and keep the Team Lead/Manager updated for open or ongoing concerns

  • Work with Team Lead/Manager to develop process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.

  • Develop and prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for periodic and ad hoc requirements.

  • Lead and support key projects, audit reviews, activities, and documentation.

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior members of the team in completing projects and performing total rewards activities

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or At least 5 years of relevant work experience in expatriate tax and/or global mobility, preferably for a Big 4 firm
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Strong background and proven expertise in Global Mobility functions
  • Experience working in and/or supporting an outsourcing or shared services center, or similar model is an advantage
  • Experience using Assignment Pro, Oracle, Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow or other similar platforms and tools

  • Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and with the ability to propose ways to prevent or eliminate errors, discrepancies & issues. (Attention to Detail)

  • Ability to maintain good customer relationship with the ability to initiate ways to improve customer experience (Customer Service)

  • Ability to effectively communicate within a varied audience and internal and external customers using different platforms. (Communication)
