Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in medical claims validation, billing denials, and appeals process.
- Apply remittances consisting of deposits, credit cards, and checks in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform, research and initiate resolution of unapplied items
- Ensures that third party payments posted are in accordance with WC Health payor agreements.
- Ensure all batches posted are appropriately scanned into the correct date and verified
- Ensure all batches posted balance to the batch deposit total
- Other duties as assigned by management
What it takes to be part of our team:
- Bacheloru0027s Degree in any field.
- Must be a Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Preferably with background/knowledge in Medical Coding (E.g., inpatient and/or outpatient coding)
- Preferably with background/knowledge in billing, claims, denials, and appeals process.
- Knowledgeable in using ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice), Lock Box and EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer)
- Knowledgeable in Revenue Cycle Management
- Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organization and planning skills, collaboration and partnering skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in the work environment.
