Quezon City, Philippines Frontline Accounting Full time

This role will involve leading a team locally and working closely with the Financial Controller to support strategic decision-making and ensure the smooth processing of all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. 

 

The role needs strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. You will need to be pro-active, and create and maintain strong and effective relationships with the team. 

Successful candidates who can start between April to May will be entitled to a 20K signing bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement new systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency. 
  • Establish and enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations. 
  • Supervise and coordinate data entry activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. 
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop budget proposals aligned with strategic objectives and financial targets. 
  • Forecast cash inflows and outflows to ensure adequate liquidity for operations, and prepare corresponding reports to track actual cash movements against projections. 
  • Coordinate month-end financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cashflow statements – ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate reflection of the financial position of the organization. 
  • Collaborate with auditors and other stakeholders to facilitate the review and audit of financial statements. 
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. 
  • Strategically plan and execute internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Collaborate seamlessly with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting. 
  • Remain diligently informed of compliance requirements stipulated by regulatory bodies (BIR, SEC and local government authorities), and ensure the punctual filing of all requisite reports and submissions. 
  • Communicate financial insights and recommendations to the Financial Controller and management to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and drive revenue growth within the organization 

Requirements: 

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or any related field 
  • At least 8 years of working experience in the related field is a must 
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred 
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial reporting standards 
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing team 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights 
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners 
  • Willing to work on-site from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, in Eastwood, Quezon City
