The AsiaPacific (APAC) Digital & Platform Services Change team within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Operations was established to drive strategic platform change and digital solution change for the APAC Markets Operations organization. As part of the APAC DPS Change Team, you will be driving change and transformation across APAC Branch, Japan, China Market Ops and your primary focus for this role would be to delivery projects for the APAC Sec Ops businesses in JPMorgan Chase. You will help the firm execute on our business and operational strategies on a regional and global scale, leading the delivery across varied projects covering market expansion, improving the client experience, implementing strategic end-state system architecture, and driving scale and mitigating risk in the Operations function.

As a Project Manager II within the Asia Pacific Digital Product Solutions Change Team, you will be spearheading change and transformation across Asia Pacific Branch, Japan, and China Market Operations. Your main responsibility in this role will be to manage projects for the Asia Pacific Securities Operations businesses in JPMorgan Chase. You will assist us in implementing our business and operational strategies on both a regional and global scale, leading the delivery across a range of projects that include market expansion, enhancing the client experience, implementing strategic end-state system architecture, and promoting scale and risk mitigation in the Operations function.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading the delivery of strategic, process improvement and regulatory projects.
  • Identify business model, operational process, systems, and resourcing impacts resulting from these initiatives working in partnership with key stakeholders including business, technology, compliance, risk, and finance as required.
  • Initiates continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes.
  • Partner with respective BAU domain leads to execute growth and change plans including platform migration and people development and support daily operational tasks.

  • Effectively translate business requirements into value-added, comprehensive solutions and test plans using appropriate processes, procedures, and technology
  • Maintain a robust and auditable governance process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of overall project, through use of project framework, methodologies, reporting and appropriate escalation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, provide leadership, direction and focus for business functions and project resources.
  • Participate in strategy and planning to influence investment decisions based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Minimum of7 years of relevant Project Management / Change Managementexperience within the financial services industry.
  • Prior roles/experiencein Markets Operations is mandatory.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, able to take the lead in unstructured situations, including seizing new opportunities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner with all types of stakeholders, at all levels across the business areas including senior executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Independent, proactive worker with the ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and demonstrate critical thinking.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues. Experience in data transformation tools, such as Alteryx and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView/Qliksense and enhanced data mining skills using SQL, SAS, Python, or other equivalent tools)
  • Problem solving skills - must demonstrate exceptional judgment and the ability to independently identify and escalate key issues, obtain appropriate information form further analysis, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Teamwork skills - the candidate must be flexible in work style and be able to work appropriately with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to partner with multiple internal teams, external clients & third party service providers.
  • Ability to manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals.
  • Ability to think strategically combined with strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree [Finance, Business, Accounting]
  • Knowledge of Settlements Operations experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of different technological development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and design techniques with ability to successfully lead regardless of approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Alteryx, Tableau is preferred.
