SpinifexIT is hiring a SAP Basis Administrator in the Philippines.

The SAP Basis Administrator works closely with the configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis with the development teams and leads, which can generally be an internal IT Support responsibility.

The role will also require the following, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with any Basis Support and Internal IT Support questions
  • Potentially addressing customer concerns about any issues on the installation of any SpinifexIT software, or integration with this via portals, SuccessFactors, etc.
  • Monitoring of On-Premise environments in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud solutions on memory usage, disk space, etc.
  • Managing ongoing system enhancements – Support packs, basis packs, OS upgrade etc and installation and management of transports across our landscapes
  • Setting up maintenance of SAP system including backup policy management, SAP authorization and User Management
  • Reviewing of system usage to be performed and/or ensuring backup and disaster recovery requirements

In addition, a number of the following initiatives may require Basis-type Resource Work:

  • Monitoring of Amazon Servers, AWS, and SAP Cloud Platform
  • Securing our different applications on Amazon Web Services
  • Implementing Single Sign-On on different servers/services
  • Participation in general IT security procedures and compliance

Needed expertise:

  • Must have at least 3 years experience in SAP Basis Administration
  • Experience is SAP Authorization is a plus
  • Good AWS knowledge, or experience that includes security/authorizations, basic networking (DNS, etc.), Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Compute Cloud - which are a BIG plus
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix is highly desirable
  • Minimum knowledge in SAP authorization set up and maintenance on User Management and RFC connections
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA is highly desirable as well

What success looks like …

You must have a good knowledge of the SAP system, including AWS and other cloud-solutions. The passion to work on configurations and troubleshooting under the SAP, AWS and other cloud systems are key for success.
