Job Summary

Responsibilities

Process Transactions: Ring up orders accurately and efficiently using the restaurant's POS (Point of Sale) system. Accept various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments.

Handle Cash: Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate transactions. Handle cash transactions with integrity and accuracy, including providing change to customers.

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the restaurant, answer any questions they may have about the menu or specials, and provide recommendations if needed. Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area clean and organized at all times. Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and other items are neatly arranged and easily accessible to customers.

Assist with Takeout Orders: Take phone orders for takeout and delivery, accurately enter them into the POS system, and coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared on time.

Collaborate with Team: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Communicate any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Follow Procedures: Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, food safety, and customer service. Maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu, pricing, and promotions.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
