Job Description:

This role is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and coordination services to the Global Mobility team, for all matters relating to international assignments, transfers, and other mobility-related functions.

  • Provide support to the global mobility operations team by performing moderately complex activities, producing cost estimates, assignment letters, calculation of hypothetical taxes, and initiation of and tracking of visa processes via AECOM’s immigration provider.

  • Support assigned international assignees by being their point of contact during the tax return preparation process, following up with any delinquents to collate personal information required by the tax vendor, and to ensure that tax equalization payments are settled in compliance with established processes and methodologies.

  • Coordinate with various teams for proper processing of allowance and other payroll related items. Work closely with Manila GM team lead and GM Tax & Operations Lead to enhance and streamline current processes, as well as identifying areas for improvement and implementing new, more efficient processes

  • Facilitate the application and tracking of social security certificates of coverage with the help of tax vendor.

  • Facilitate data compilation for global tax return authorization lists as needed and provide basic analysis to reports on mobility activities in compliance with agreed criteria and standard.

  • Compensation collection for tax returns, ensuring compensation teams provide data to tax vendor on a timely basis

  • Closely coordinate and work directly with tax vendor to ensure shadow payroll is processed on a timely basis.

  • Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required based on the agreed process and internal workflow process.

  • Propose alternatives in identified problem areas and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues.

  • Contribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.

  • Participate in audit-related activities

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of relevant work experience in expatriate tax and/or global mobility

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools

  • Experience working in an outsourcing or shared services center, or similar model, is an advantage

  • Experience using Assignment Pro, Oracle, Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow or other similar platforms and tools

  • Proactive in managing stakeholders’ expectations and dealing with conflicting priorities
