As the TechOps Manager at JoyRide, you will oversee the teams responsible for IT Infrastructure and Operations, ensuring the smooth functioning and reliability of our technological systems. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology or equivalent, you will collaborate closely with other department heads to align with company objectives and maintain operational excellence. Your primary focus will be on managing technical operations, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving efficiency within the IT infrastructure. We're seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong technical background, extensive experience in infrastructure management, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader capable of guiding teams to achieve both business and technical goals in a dynamic environment.Â

What you will do...

• Lead and manage multiple teams within IT Infrastructure and Operations, ensuring alignment with current tools and best practices, including agile methodologies where applicable.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to empower teams in achieving their business and career objectives.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to prioritize tasks, address technical challenges, and maintain alignment with company goals.
• Proactively communicate with stakeholders, identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
• Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the TechOps teams.
• Monitor and manage budgets, identifying areas for optimization and cost-effective solutions. Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the IT Infrastructure and Operations teams.
• Establish and enforce standards and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of technological systems.
• Demonstrate leadership by introducing new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and value delivery.
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute technical expertise to support business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of projects and initiatives across the organization.

Our ideal candidate has..

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and operations, with a focus on deploying and integrating technology solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a managerial capacity.
• A passion for driving innovation and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.

Bonus points for..

• Previous experience in startup environments or TMaaS (Transportation Mobility as a Service).
• Hands-on experience in engineering or DevOps roles.
• Certifications in Agile, PMP, Scrum, or related fields
