Position: Quantity Surveyor

Job description:

  1. Cost Estimation: Estimating the costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for a construction project. This involves analyzing project plans and specifications to create accurate cost estimates.
  2. Budgeting: Developing and managing budgets for construction projects. This includes setting the initial budget and tracking expenses throughout the project's lifecycle.
  3. Cost Control: Monitoring project costs and expenses to ensure they stay within the established budget. They may recommend cost-saving measures when necessary.
  4. Change Management: Assessing and managing changes to the project scope and cost, including variations, extra work, and unforeseen issues.
  5. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact the project's cost and timeline.
  6. Cost Reporting: Preparing regular reports for project stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and contractors, detailing the project's financial status.
  7. Measurement and Quantification: Taking off and measuring quantities of materials and labor needed for the project. This is crucial for accurate cost estimation.
  8. Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Considering and advising on sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices, including the use of eco-friendly materials and technologies.
  9. Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure that projects comply with legal requirements.

    Qualifications;
  10. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Construction related preferably MEP)
  11. Must have 5-7 years relevant experience in Construction
  12. Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
  13. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  14. Knowledge of building and construction
  15. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  16. Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
  17. Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Willing to work in Calamba, Laguna.
