Technical Team Lead will build, Integrate and Deliver Regional Application Solutions to AXA Asian Market & International Market entities.

Responsible for end-to-end software development and delivery. This includes analysis, estimation, solutioning and design to development, implementation, testing and support.'

Responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze impacts based on requirements from business
  • Provide high level solution based on analysis of requirements
  • Estimate the actual effort and cost
  • Design, Build and Deploy Core Life AS400 applications
  • Modify existing Shared AS400 applications based on business requirements
  • Develop design document for in-house / out-source development work and obtain sign-off.
  • Review solution delivery deliverables from Delivery Centre / Vendor for quality assurance.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of AS/400 RPG/ILE Developers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define technical requirements and project timelines.

RPG/ILE Development

  • Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of RPG/ILE programs, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

System Architecture

  • Define and implement system architecture for AS/400 applications, considering scalability and performance.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Database Management

  • Oversee database interactions, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval within RPG programs.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance.

Project Management

  • Work closely with project managers to plan and execute development projects.
  • Provide technical insights during project planning and contribute to the development of project timelines.

6. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the quality and reliability of RPG/ILE programs through thorough testing and debugging processes.
  • Implement and enforce coding standards to maintain code consistency and quality.

7. Documentation

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all RPG/ILE programs and system architecture.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for the development team.

8. Training and Development

  • Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their technical skills.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
Your Profile
  • 6 -8 years of experience in IT solution delivery, preferably in the insurance / financial services field.
  • In-depth understanding in various domains of Insurance solution delivery (for example, distribution systems, business intelligence, CRM, printing solution, etc).
  • Solid experience in large scale project delivery involving multiple teams, applications from both AS400 and non-AS400 platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Working experience in Asia countries, with understandings of the country characteristics, cultures, and work style, is an advantage.
  • In-depth system delivery experience in AS400 with collaboration with other technology domains.
  • University degree in Computer Science or related fields.
