Farmesa Asia Pacific Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement and PEZA Specialist, who will be primarily responsible for (i) ensuring compliance with PEZA and BoC regulations and requirements in import and export transactions and (ii) sourcing and managing the procurement of products (raw materials and supplies) for our manufacturing facility in the Philippines.

The main responsibilities of the Procurement and PEZA Specialist will be:

Conduct thorough research to identify and qualify potential local and foreign suppliers for new and existing raw materials.Source, evaluate and contact suppliers based on factors like quality, cost, reliability, sustainability, and risk management.Negotiate the terms of procurement with chosen suppliers, securing competitive pricing and favorable conditions.Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, maintaining open communication and collaboration.Conduct on-site visit for inspection and audit of local and foreign suppliers following FSSC 22000 guidelines.Monitor industry trends and anticipate market shifts to proactively address potential supply chain disruptionsEnsuring compliance with PEZA and BOC regulations, including day to day interaction with said regulators including but not limited to: (i) submission of project brief for new or expansion projects, request letter of approvals as may be applicable, (ii) request certification for incentives, (ii) processing of BOC COR importation permits, (iii) processing of PEZA / LOA Permit Renewal, (iv) monthly reporting (EZMPR), among othersOverseeing and monitoring import and export process including but not limited to: (i) checking and confirming export documents; (ii) dispatch of export container and other related documents; (iii) documentation for incoming containers QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.With at least a minimum of 2 to 3 years of work experience in the field of import and export logistics, purchasing or distribution, and PEZA and BOC compliance. Knowledgeable of PEZA and BOC regulations.Proven track record of identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and solve complex procurement challenges.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.Decisive, responsive and autonomous to deal with regulatory local authorities.Business fluent in English and local language (written, verbal).Having attended trainings related to food safety, GMP, SSOP, among others, with supporting certificates is a plusKnowledge of SAP (Sourcing and Procurement) is a plus.Knowledge of Philippines' seaweed industry is a plus.Must be amenable to work and report in our plant in Malvar, Batangas, from 8 am to 5 pm.
