Job Title: Fixed Assets Accountant
Company: Vestas
Vestas SSC provides processing services to Vestas' businesses worldwide, mainly in Finance & Accounting, Master Data Management, Procurement, Global Service Support Center and Remote Operations Center.
The team is under the Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre.
As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the team is primarily responsible for providing standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of fixed assets.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in further improvement and optimization of end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting processes and procedures in Finance and Accounting.
- Execute the relevant finance processing of Fixed Assets fully per the defined and agreed Vestas Standard Operating Procedures and under Vestas Financial Guidelines.
- Proactively engage and collaborate with relevant colleagues and business stakeholders to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality.
- Prepare and submit SOX control documentation on time and accurately.
- Consistently follow up on pending items/issues.
- Prepare deck and participate in MOR calls.
- Support internal/external audits on handled and backup entities.
- Provide back-up support if needed.
- Participate in process improvements, and UAT for projects, NM, SPV's, etc.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Accountancy.
- Good background in Fixed assets, General Ledger functions, Reporting or Controlling.
- At least 1.5 to 4 years of working experience in the same field.
- BPO or Shared Service experience.
Competencies:
- White belt trained or with knowledge in process improvement methodologies.
- Preferably with certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, CIA etc.) but not required.
- Good communication skills.
- Problem solving-oriented.
- Flexible and willing to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as assigned. Willing to travel.
- Positive behavior and attitude.
- Ability to handle one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and strategies.
- Independent and can work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of using ERP systems.
