Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Cobol Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and testing Mainframe Cobol programs, as well as a strong understanding of banking and retail system operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test Mainframe Cobol programs using Cobol II, JCL, DB2 - SQL, VSAM, ISPF, DFSORT, and SYNCSORT
  • Collaborate with business, application, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and propose technical designs and development approaches
  • Create, modify, and debug jobs and programs based on technical specifications
  • Write test scripts and test scenarios based on system specifications
  • Test data creation to satisfy every scenario during unit testing
  • Run job and data validation of assigned applications as a post-deployment task
  • Resolve business problems during support periods
Requirements
  • Strong experience in Mainframe Cobol programming
  • Experience in Job Scheduler (CA7) and Report Management System (RMS)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain high work standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of banking and retail system operations
