Job Summary:

As an OSP Engineer at InfiniVAN, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of existing OSP facilities, developing aerial and underground fiber route maps, and executing tasks. This role involves determining the scope, budget, and schedules for projects, developing fiber route maps, preparing design and installation plans, and maintaining records of all fiber cable splicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for the safety and security of all existing OSP facilities.
  • Adhere strictly to industry standards for the construction and maintenance of the entire OSP structure.
  • Determine the scope, budget, and schedules for both existing and new OSP projects with precision.
  • Submit detailed weekly project status reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Develop comprehensive aerial and underground fiber route maps and perform in-depth route analysis.
  • Conduct thorough engineering and site surveys to gather critical project data.
  • Prepare detailed design and installation plans based on meticulously gathered information.
  • Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on the designed plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of Joint Pole Agreements (JPA) and Right to Attach (RTA) documentation.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all fiber cable splicing activities.
  • Validate and approve designs submitted by contractors to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Inspect OSP networks regularly to ensure they meet operational standards.
  • Develop and implement mitigation and restoration procedures for emergency conditions to ensure network resilience.
  • Locate and troubleshoot telecommunication cables and wires efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Perform regular maintenance on telecommunication facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Undertake splicing and jointing work, and conduct thorough project acceptance testing.
  • Oversee all cable installation and testing work to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
  • Perform additional functions relevant to the work scope as needed to support project success.
  • Utilize permitting and Right of Way (ROW) negotiation skills to secure necessary approvals and access.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • At least 3 years of OSP working experience
  • Experienced in using CAD and MS Visio
  • Good interpersonal skill, work ethics, hardworking, and team player
  • Good decision making, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong knowledge of the technology industry and technical aptitude
  • Has experience in Fiber Optics installation and testing both for Aerial and Underground
  • Must have extensive experience in project documentation, OSP design, minor civil works construction, testing, and commissioning
  • Required Skill(s): Safety Driving with a valid Driver's License
  • Willing to be deployed in different project site/s (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao).
