BASIC FUNCTION
Position Overview


The Cloud Billing Specialist is responsible for enhancing the overall partner experience including aiding partners and or vendors with billing, order placement and technical queries, as well as supporting customised pricing and billing models, driving global compliance and generating client invoicing.

They also utilise their specialist skills and knowledge of billing to provide support to other Cloud & Licensing teammates and ensure operational needs are met whilst considering price, quality and delivery.


In addition, the Cloud Billing Specialist acts as the main 'point of contact' for all internal requests and manages Insight's internal systems to ensure strict adherence to client service level agreements, client satisfaction and service excellence.

What you'll do at Insight

  • Responsible for delivering billing operations expertise and processing all billing activities in a timely and diligent manner
  • Assist the Cloud & Licensing Team to complete deliverables
  • Support all incoming billing requests across EMEA in accordance with set service level agreement targets
  • In conjunction with key stakeholders endeavour to ensure Insight's clients receive a great billing experience
  • Respond to billing inquiries promptly within agreed timescales
  • Support monthly billing processes between multiple external and internal teams by managing data throughout billing cycles
  • Initiate adjustments to billing charges where appropriate and communicate any outstanding amounts to clients
  • Seek to understand the clients' business needs and objectives to timely solve client issues or problems which may arise and escalate matters accordingly
  • Guarantee clients stay properly informed and well versed of their obligations as well as important cut off times
  • Administer and reconcile invoices received by the client as well as other internal stakeholders
  • Explain any charges to client's properly to develop working relationships and enhance their understanding of billing policies, processes and procedures
  • Create reports for management regularly including accruals, flag certain records or balances and distinguish any irregularities
  • Accurately and efficiently log all issues and status updates within Insight's internal systems
  • Maintain billing files and or records by batch in accordance with the established protocols
  • Proactively identify, suggest and or implement improvements and enhancements to operational and or system challenges
  • Ensure laws and best practices concerning managing clients and information are adhered to
What you'll need to join Insight

  • Previous 3 years experience of working in a role of similar capacity, with knowledge of billing processes and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL and SAP experience is advantageous
  • Knwoledgable with Excel (Macro, Vlookup, Pivot)
  • Demonstrates previous experience of handling payments, credits, debits, reconciliations, and statements of account etc.
  • Ability to analyse, conceptualise, interpret and manipulate data and from that make clear and effective presentations and or reports
