The Finance Officer - Cost Control is concerned with being part of an accounts team dedicated to the delivery of timely and accurate accounts and financial reporting.

Will also provide assistance to the Cost Control and Accounts Payable sections while ensuring the smooth and effective day to day work routine, and in particular, the month-end reporting.

What will I be doing?

§ Check food and beverage supplier invoices and forward to Cost Controller for review before forwarding to Accounts Payable for processing.

§ Conduct spot checks for spoilage, wastage and pilferage in all outlets and ensure that all par stock levels in the kitchen and bars are strictly adhered to and the correct instruments of measures are being used in bars.

§ Ensure proper accounting of inter bar and kitchen transfer.

§ Post and print all food, beverage and tobacco monthly inventory via Check SCM system.

§ To perform monthly stock takes of the entire hotel's inventory.

§ Assist in Payables Section especially during month end.

§ Reconcile Food and beverage purchases with F&B Control summaries.

§ Assist Finance Executive-AP to prepare trade accruals at the month end.

§ Process cheque request as required by the Finance Executive-AP from time to time

§ Assist in periodic physical operating equipment and linen inventory exercise.

§ Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Cost Controller.

§ Provides a timely and responsive service to both internal and external customers.

§ Understands the mechanisms behind the computerized information network especially related to the gathering of data for processing at an accounting/bookkeeping level.

§ Matches Purchase Orders to receiving records and eventually to invoices.

§ Ensures all Direct Marketing List (DML) invoices are authorized by Department Heads prior to submission to Payable.

§ Ensures all food, beverage and general transactions relating to the accounts payable ledger are promptly entered.

§ Ensures cost control records are effectively kept for ease of audit.

§ Assists in developing best practices cost control procedures. This to be an area of continuous review and development.

§ Assists the Cost Controller in providing support on financial and commercial matters to the Hotel Team.

§ Track various types of discount, OC/SP/ENT consumption, food and beverage sales, banquet functions and special events(daily as well as monthly)

§ Prepare beverage flash cost report weekly and email to F&B Department in absence of Cost Controller, if needed.

§ Assist Cost Controller to prepare beverage cost board report during month end closing.

§ To complete any special assignment on time upon directive of CC/FE-AP/AFC/DOF.

§ Assists in making sure that Team Members' Lounge area is maintained to high standards of operation.

§ Monitors and maintains the proper appearance of the office area.

§ Ensures that the Hilton Brand Service Standards is fully implemented and adhered to by all Team Members

§ Assists the Management Team and Heads of Department through an active and visual presence in identifying Learning and Development needs within each department.

Requirements

What are we looking for? Holds a degree in Finance and/or Accounting
0 to 3 years of finance experience
Minimum 1-3 years work experience in Cost Control

Well-developed reporting and analytical skills
