Job Summary

The Software Engineer will design and configure solutions based on customer specific requirements and agreed specifications, perform testing of the configured solution, technical documentations, and installations until completion of the customer agreed solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review final Solution Proposal and convert it into a Detailed Technical Design Specification that contains complete software functionalities, project deliverables and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute solution engineering process and its activities.
  • Utilize the Standard Solution Template as the base for solution configuration and configure it according to the approved Detailed Technical Design Specification.
  • Perform in-house testing of the configured solution and escalate out-of-scope requests to the immediate manager for approval.
  • Deliver solutions, perform SAT, Trainings and support Go Live.
  • Support and escalate issues encountered during installation, FAT and SAT.
  • Hand over projects to the Global Helpdesk team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development lifecycle and project delivery methodology, including:
  • Configuration of PC-based software solutions, able to test, install and validate performance against project deliverables.
  • Experience with.NET programming language, expertise on VB.NET.
  • Proven experience with Relational Databases (MS SQL), use of SQL Reporting service.
  • Prior documentation skills are a must.
  • Experience in direct customer-facing and acting in a professional manner to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills and able to interact with diverse, cross-cultural stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of IT/networking and aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and hardware.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing and supply chain automation is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • The position involves approximately 10% to 25% of travel, on average, and includes domestic and international travel.
