JobResponsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, and
environmental samples to assess microbial contamination levels and ensure compliance
with regulatory standards.

  • Develop, validate, and optimize microbiological test methods and procedures for the
detection and enumeration of microorganisms based on the USP and FDA manual.

  • Participate in the investigation of out-of-specification results, deviation, and microbial
contaminations and assist in the corrective and preventive actions.

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in
pharmaceutical microbiology, and apply this knowledge to enhance laboratory
operations and testing protocols.

  • Uphold a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in the laboratory
environment, following good laboratory practices (GLP) and good manufacturing
practices (GMP) guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • BS Biology, BS Biology major in Microbiology, BS Microbiology.
  • Prior experience in a pharmaceutical industry or biotechnology laboratory setting with
a focus on microbiological testing analysis.

  • Strong knowledge or background in microbiological techniques, including aseptic
techniques, microbial culture, enumeration, identification, and environmental monitoring.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements from agencies like FDA.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
