About us

ISLA is an early childhood education center based in Siargao that caters to play school and preschool aged children.

We aim to provide a solid foundation on which children will build their knowledge and understanding of concepts and the world around them through play and concrete hands-on learning experiences.

Qualifications & experience

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's degree in a related field
Entry level; Fresh Graduates
Ability to relate positively to young children, parents and staff
Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team

Effective and strong communication skills (orally and written)
Able to work successfully with the school community
Demonstrate supervision skills
Strong computer skills with expertise in Windows-based programs, such as the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Canva
Tasks & responsibilitiesAssists in curriculum planning
Implements the lesson plan
Ensures that home-to-school activities are completed by the students
Maintains records on each child's progress and development. Keep anecdotal records or written observations of inappropriate behaviour of children suspected to have developmental delays and learning disabilities and submit anecdotal reportsDevelops a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline.
