About the role

Join the dynamic team at OPTODEV, Inc. as a Sr. EHS Engineer. In this full-time position based in Laguna Calabarzon, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's environmental, health, and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and promoting a safe, sustainable work environment.

What you'll be doing

Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to mitigate risks and protect employees, the community, and the environmentConduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and address potential hazardsInvestigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes and decision-makingProvide training and guidance to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practicesStay up-to-date with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards, and ensure the company's complianceMaintain detailed records and documentation to support regulatory reporting and continuous improvement effortsWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in a senior EHS role within the manufacturing industryThorough understanding of environmental regulations, workplace safety standards, and best practicesProven track record in developing and implementing effective EHS programs and initiativesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex EHS challengesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholdersAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional teamsProficiency in data analysis and report writingWhat we offer
