JOB SUMMARY
The Right of Way Officer will play a pivotal role in securing and managing the necessary access rights for the installation, maintenance, and expansion of our telecommunications infrastructure.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, and the ability to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESSecuring Permits and Approvals:
Obtain all required permits and approvals from local and national agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and ordinances.
Negotiating Access Rights:
Engage with property owners, government entities, and other stakeholders to secure access rights through easements, licenses, and leases.
Conducting Site Surveys:
Perform site surveys to assess feasibility and identify potential right-of-way issues, coordinating with engineering teams to align assessments with project plans.
Documentation Management:
Maintain accurate records of all right-of-way agreements and permits, ensuring documentation is properly filed and accessible.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations, ensuring all projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, legal teams, and other internal and external stakeholders to coordinate right-of-way activities.
Dispute Resolution:
Address and resolve disputes or issues related to right-of-way access, mediating conflicts to ensure project continuity.
Project Support:
Assist in the planning and execution of telecommunications projects, providing expertise on right-of-way matters and participating in project meetings.
Budget Management:
Monitor and manage budgets related to right-of-way activities, ensuring cost-effective strategies are employed.
Community Engagement:
Engage with communities and public officials to communicate project benefits, conduct public meetings, and address community concerns.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with right of way acquisition, ensuring legal and financial risks are minimized.
