SGL Manila (Shared Service Center), Inc. is currently hiring for the following positions:
- AP Accountant
- AP Senior Accountant
AP Accountant will be primarily responsible for the execution of day-to-day accounts payable tasks such as bill entry and preparing vendor payments. The AP Accountant will also provide support in the form of account reconciliations and reporting requirements around accounts payable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely and accurate invoice entry in support of weekly wires, as well as timely entry and payment of obligations.
- Review invoices and payment requests for satisfactory approval, contact employees for proper back-up documentation for payments and clarify questionable invoice items and prices, or obtain approvals.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of invoice filings to support general ledger entries.
- Assists in preparation of schedules for inclusion in monthly close package as requested.
- Supports the Company's year-end audit process by preparing supporting documentation and schedules as requested.
- Runs monthly usage reports and provides information to relevant departments and vendors.
- Performs additional accounting, financial and other duties as assigned. AP Senior Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely input of payment data from supplier invoices into the financial system of record, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, actioning daily control activities, and providing backfill support to the team lead. An excellent understanding of the overall A/P process is required. The position can be expected to assist across responsibilities when deemed necessary by management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparing, and resolving AP control reports in a timely manner. These can include but are not limited to: signature controls; duplicate review; aging; recurring; prepayments; invoice hold reports for banking, tolerance, and input holds.
- Prepare Daily Assignments and Business Day reports
- Responsible for Month End, Quarter End, Year End Closing tasks including variance analysis, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, review of accruals, and running reports
- Communicate, collaborate, and partner with other departments, team members, and external suppliers to resolve invoice and payment problems in a timely manner by taking a proactive approach and following through to payment.
