Finance Controller (CPA & US client experience is REQUIRED)

IQ BackOffice Inc. (formerly HRMall Inc.)

The role will report to the CFO and will provide leadership and coordination of the company's financial and internal control framework, and debt financing, lead and manage the financial operations team, and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.


• Directs the preparation of monthly period and year-end financial statements (balance sheet, comprehensive income, cash flow statements, and also notes disclosures), as well as financial executive summaries ("flash reports" and "final closing numbers"), ensuring these are reported and presented in an accurate, reliable and timely manner in accordance with company policy and generally accepted local and international accounting standards (PFRS, IAS, IFRS).


• Oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise reporting systems (Navision integration, migration, and upgrades).


• Develop strategies to support and enhance the firm's financial planning and reporting for ad hoc needs (i.e. Productivity improvement initiatives, supporting accounting and reporting requirements as well as tax implications of new offerings).


• Provide technical advice, information, and assistance to business units related to accounting policies and treatment. Manage relationships and communication with the company's appointed auditors.


• Financial ad-hoc support as needed, assisting in the development of new reports to address strategic objectives.

  • Assists the CFO in coordinating, driving, and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at all business units.
  • Ensures effective policies and procedures are established and well maintained through updated Policies and Procedures Manuals.
  • Ensures effective internal controls framework, structures, systems, and processes are established and maintained across the organization. Ensure adequate measures are in place to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Ensure that Internal Audit findings are addressed and resolved on time.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related business courses.
  • CPA is an advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Min 8 years of relevant experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Capable of implementing an Accounting or other reporting/budgeting system and integrating it with another system
  • Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and service line profitability analysis.
  • Good analytical skills and understanding of P&L: revenues, operating expenses, and operating metrics
  • Experience in the development and analysis of business unit profitability reporting, including the design and management of allocation rules
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Experience in establishing internal control framework, creating of policies and procedures, and implementing them across the organization
  • Possess strong attention to detail, operate effortlessly in a highly dynamic and multi-cultural environment, and leverage cross-functional working skills to move with agility
