As a Director, Internal Audit, AMEA, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing expert guidance and recommendations on internal control matters, risk mitigation strategies, and process improvements.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key partners across the region, establishing yourself as a trusted partner who understands business objectives and challenges.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen risk management practices, and improve overall governance processes.
  • Take a lead role in defining an internal control framework in preparation for SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of potential risk and develop action plans.
  • Recruit, train, and develop direct reports, providing mentorship on career progression, skill development, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of strong ethics and integrity within the internal audit team, ensuring adherence to professional standards and ethical principles.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, ensuring effective coordination of audit activities and timely resolution of any identified issues or concerns.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related courses.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or have Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) professional certification.
  • At least 15 years of working experience, with 10 years in an internal audit senior leadership role.
  • Experience with a multinational organization and managing international teams.
  • Experience in establishing and optimizing continuous auditing techniques and tools.
  • Working knowledge of the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
