Job Title : Project-in-Charge (Land Development & Surveying)

Department : Planning, Engineering & Operations

Qualification Requirement : Licensed Engineer; computer literate; proficient in MS Office & Autodesk Applications and other related; 5 years & above experience in construction industry, proficient in oral & written communications, must possess leadership and command to people.

Job Summary:

ENGINEERING

Responsible for the preparation of accurate and competitive bid proposals for prospective projects. Also represents the company in dealing with prospective clients for negotiated and bid projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the conduct of function of project office engineering.
  • Monitor, analyze and scrutinize all contracts entered into by the company.
  • Reports the status of all contracts to the PEO Head and President
  • Checks the cost and quantity estimate prepared by Engineers for negotiated and bid projects.
  • Recommend the selection of subcontractors/suppliers for on-going projects to the PEO Head and President
  • Monitors the progress of on-going projects & provides engineering support.
  • Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

OPERATIONS

He is over-all in-charge of the project. Monitors the Project Engineers in expediting work activities. Reviews and makes recommendation for program works. Monitors, evaluates and control project activities executed by the contractors on time extensions, change orders and price variations. Makes/Prepares Progress reports on work activities and resource utilization.

His role is to ensure that the project is completed within the time, budget constraints consistent with quality and safety. He must achieve the end result despite the risk and problems involved. He must execute the required tasks in a logical sequence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review plans and other Contract Documents.
  • Establishes the project activities and goals early and ensure everyone knows what is required of him.
  • Disseminates the project plan to clarify individual responsibilities, schedules and budgets.
  • Establish clear and well - defined milestone so that all concerned will know what exactly is to be accomplished and when is going to be completed.
  • Attend coordination meetings with client, inspectors & other contractors.
  • Attends to punch listings and turnover to owners.
  • Coordinates/corresponds with the Owner's Representatives.
  • Evaluates Performance and Accomplishments of Sub-Contractors.
  • Documents any changes in the project and prepares the agreement with the concerned parties.
  • Ensures objectives of the project are met satisfactorily.
  • Implements plan with 100% accuracy, consistency and quality.
  • Review purchase requisitions of materials and personnel requisition.
  • Over all field supervision.
  • Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Job Summary

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.

Primary responsibilities

  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by top management from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in related field (Civil Engineering, Land Development, Surveying)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in same field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • 13th month salary
