We are extremely excited to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for a CMDB Specialist to be based in our Manila office on a hybrid working setup.

The CMDB Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of CI (Configuration Item) data.

This role will involve working with the wider DevOps team, the Service Management team, and directly with the business.

CMDB Design and Implementation

• Design, implement, and maintain the CMDB structure within ServiceNow, ensuring it effectively captures all necessary configuration items (CIs) relevant to IT services.
• Collaborate with IT teams to define and standardize CI attributes and relationships, ensuring comprehensive representation of the IT environment.
• Work with the ServiceNow Platform team to ensure you are following all technical guidelines.

Data Management and Integrity

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of CMDB data by implementing robust data governance, quality control processes, and reconciliation activities.
• Conduct regular audits of the CMDB to identify and rectify discrepancies, employing automated discovery tools within ServiceNow to keep the CMDB current.
• Perform ServiceNow CMDB Health Checks (Completeness, Correctness, and Compliance).
• Setup and manage ServiceNow CMDB Health Checks, de-duplication checks, etc.
• Support the improvement and usage of CMDB data across the other ITSM process and other services.
• Work with the CMDB Process Owner and ServiceNow team to design and implement improvements to the ServiceNow CMDB and its data sources.

Integration and Automation

• Integrate CMDB with other IT service management processes and systems such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management, to support seamless service delivery.
• Automate CMDB updates and maintenance tasks using corporate tools, workflow, and orchestration capabilities, reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement and Support

• Act as the primary point of contact for all CMDB-related queries and requests, providing expert guidance and support to IT teams and business stakeholders.
• Train and mentor IT staff on utilizing CMDB data for decision-making, risk assessment, and service improvement initiatives.

Reporting and Analytics

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into the health and status of IT services, supporting continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor CMDB metrics and KPIs, reporting on trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.

Compliance and Best Practices

• Ensure CMDB practices align with ITIL standards, organizational policies, and compliance requirements.
• Stay informed of the latest developments in CMDB management and ServiceNow capabilities, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.

• Tertiary qualification in an IT-related discipline
• Proven experience managing a CMDB within ServiceNow, including data analysis, reporting, and integration.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certification in ServiceNow, particularly in IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) - desirable
• Familiarity with cloud environments and their impact on CMDB management - preferred
• Detailed knowledge of the ServiceNow Common Services Data Model (CSDM) - preferred
• Good knowledge of Software and Hardware Asset management systems and relationships between technical objects - preferred
