We're looking to recruit an outstanding Science Laboratory Technician to join our Manila school, a Nord Anglia Education school.

JOB PURPOSE

You'll help us set up practical lessons in Science, prepare solutions, dispose of chemicals, inventory and order new stocks, and assist in teaching.

As a genuine team-player, you'll work across our central, regional, and local science teams to improve the science department. Everything we do is connected to our vision to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens who will change our world for the better.

Your role will impact the organisation by making sure the students have all the lab equipment required to investigate and experiment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Support practical science
  • Help us with developing scientists
  • Lead the role of lab technician
  • Deliver quality and safety
  • Maintenance, preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment and materials
  • Prepare and provide equipment/laboratory solutions for lessons.
  • Stock control including preparing lists of replacements as required.
  • Assist with maintenance of Science Department administration system.
  • To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be determined by the Head of Science.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or above major in Biological or Chemical sciences
  • Knowledge of MS-Office tools and digital background in science equipment
  • Self-motivated – You will be a key member in the development of the science department as it grows.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
  • You'd like to work in a purpose-led sector.
