• ABOUT THE COMPANY

Hailing from the prominent Filpride Group, Malayan Maritime Services, Inc. (MMSI) was established to handle the growing demand for tugboat services to ensure the safe towing and berthing/unberthing of larger ships. Initially partnering with its sister company, Insular Oil Corporation Terminal located in Sasa, Davao, it has since grown to service more customers from different industries, both local and foreign alike. MMSI now caters to a wide variety of commercial ships, docking and undocking in the many ports in the Davao Region such as Sasa, Kudos, Panabo, Malalag, reaching CDO, Cebu and Batangas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Navigation watch-standing responsibilities include voyage plan implementation, position plotting, collision avoidance, traffic management, and emergency response.

· Safety and firefighting operational responsibilities include the supervision of the maintenance of equipment, response proficiency, and training of the crew.

· Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures

· Works safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use; uses/wears all required PPE.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working in a tugboat as a mate is a plus.

· Experience as TM/CM on Z-Peller and Duck-Peller tugboats in harbor assisting and towages.

· Proficient in survival craft and rescue boats.

· Major Patron Licensed.

· With training certificates and medicate certificate.

· Knowledgeable in port and/or tug operations, analytical, interpersonal skills, customer oriented, administrative skills, process oriented.

· Willing to be assigned to any location as required.

· The candidate must have the following qualities:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php32,000.00 per month
