Primary Purpose of the Position

As Staff Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for develop, research, and design the devices, including panels, engines, machines, tools and other equipment involved in the installation and upkeep of a solar energy system, on the other hand, as a Site Engineer you will be responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (if assigned on office)
  2. Develop detailed plans for structural and mechanical components of solar power systems.
  3. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support with respect to testing, machine performance, installation and product operation in field testing.
  4. Improve processes for solar installation projects
  5. Prepare design and determine specifications and requirements for PV systems
  6. Provide costs estimates for solar installation plans. (PERT CPM, Gantt Chart, Manpower Equipment Schedule)
  7. Prepare checklists for inspections and testing of solar installation projects
  8. Provide direction and support to PV installers for installation, start-up, testing, commissioning and monitoring
  9. Develop operation procedures and policies for solar installation projects particularly streetlight, solar system and solar pumping,
  10. Evaluate solar projects and perform analysis on energy efficiency
  11. Coordinate with project managers/engineers to ensure proper delivery of solar projects and prepare reports as required.
  12. Ensure compliance of mechanical engineering practices with applicable codes and standards
  13. Work closely with the project engineer to ensure timelines are followed and project goals are achieved.
  14. Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
  15. Preparing detailed plans for the projects.
  16. Other tasks not mentioned above which are deemed necessary for the completion of projects and activities.

  18. Responsible for the engineering activities from beginning to end of project.
  19. Meet with clients to interpret their need and requirements and determine project specification.
  20. Collaborate with other engineers to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.
  21. Complete actual technical specifications.
  22. Analyze and determine actual project specification.
  23. Prepare all necessary documents and reports related to engineering activities.
  24. Monitor engineering activities and deliverables.
  25. Propose preventive and corrective actions.
  26. Ensure compliance of all project engineering practices with all relevant codes, laws and regulations.
  27. Submitting project deliverables and ensuring they adhere to quality standards; Project oversight.
  28. Preparing accomplishment report to head office.
  29. Documentation of all the laborer or manpower in the site.
  30. Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  31. Facilitating change request to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedules and budget.
  32. Delegate tasks to project team members.
  33. Manage resources and schedules for the whole duration of the projects.
  34. Job Specification
  35. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer preferably with license.
  36. Proficient with Engineering tools and software
  37. Proficient with Microsoft office
  38. Knowledge in designing mechanical components and systems for solar applications.
  39. Knowledge of Philippine Mechanical Engineering Code, PSME codes and other applicable codes related to mechanical engineering and solar structural applications.
