Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Middle and Back Office Functions

  • Gathers allinformation required (i.e. external statements,i.e., prime broker reports and custodian statements, supporting documents forrecurring expenses including legal fees, audit fee, admin fees, tax fees,director's fee, etc.).
  • For Genevaclients, performs pricing of funds' investments using prices from externalsources.
  • Uploadsdaily trade transactions from the prime broker's FTP sites or trade blotterincluding the daily dividends, interest, corporate actions, and cash activitiesand record them in the HC Global's portfolio accounting.
  • Prepares dailyequity reconciliation for each fund and if required by the engagement, also preparesposition and cash reconciliation. Investigatesany trade breaks and reconciling items on the reconciliation
  • Based on downloadedreports and other calculations, prepares and/or updates the financial reports (trialbalance, income statement, balance sheet, statement of changes in capital accounts,investors' monthly and YTD allocations, capital letters, summary of expenses,schedule of management fees, etc.).
  • Ensures thatthe monthly partners' allocation is allocating the correct profit and lossbased on the straight capital ratios or commitment ratios, whichever is thecase maybe.
  • Ensures thatmanagement fees and performance fees are allocated according to the limitedpartnership agreements.
  • Ensures that all expenses are accrued,and all income and expense items are recognized in the appropriate tabsin the allocation file.
  • Ensures thatall income and expenses are classified in the right income and expensecharacter for income tax purposes.
  • Ensuresthe correctness of the monthly, quarterly and year to date gross and netreturns for each limited partner.
  • Ensures thatall working papers are appropriately labelled and with proper notations and/orcell comments.
  • Preparesthe reporting package for next level review.
  • Prepares allaccounting related entries for Geneva clients, ensuring that all transactions haveappropriate support.
  • Monitors clientmailboxes/distribution lists and saves all necessary emails and supports on a timelymanner.
  • Prepares adhoc requests received from client, including but not limited to, distributions,drawdowns, etc.
  • Prepares wireentries in the treasury portal for engagements with Cash Control services.
  • Performs peerreview of Investor statements, as needed.

Assistsin coordinating annual audits of clients' financial statements.

  • Preparesworking papers in a way that ensures that all audit requirements are handy forthe auditors.
  • Preparesyear-end schedules for independent auditors including cost roll forward, cashreconciliation, statement of cash flows, and financial highlights and otherworking papers supporting the balances and disclosures in the financialstatements.
  • Prepares eachfund's financial statements and works closely with the respective fund'sauditors for note disclosures.
  • Preparesand submits draft financial statements on a timely basis for next level review.
  • Organizesown work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines.

Requirements

Job Specifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor ' s degree in Accountancy
  • Preferably a Certified PublicAccountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Preferably with at least 1 yearof experience in financial accounting or equivalent
  • A team player; must be able towork individually and as part of a team
  • Has a good business understandingof financial concepts and procedures
  • Analytical and verydetail-oriented
  • Flexibility to expand work hoursas necessary and support business needs
