Public Relations Manager (SM North EDSA)

Public Relations & Corporate Affairs (Marketing & Communications)

To develop and sustain relationship with the media, government, communities and publics and thereby study, plan, formulate and implement strategies that will protect the image and minimize the damage during crisis of the company, in general. To initiate and sustain publicity campaigns and cooperate, coordinate and work with marketing in support of the company's brand, to maintain the image of the mall in line with its vision and mission, with the ethical principles of public relations and in line with company's general principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares press release, media advertisements on mall activities/projects
  • Coordinate with media and organize events including press conference, exhibitions and press tours and other activities in order to gain public attention through media without direct advertising
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Sustain existing media relationship and develop new contacts within business and industry media
  • Submit monthly media report to SM/SVP-MCG
  • Represent the company in meetings sponsored by the government, civic and local organization and/or any official and social functions
  • Coordinate with government agencies and LGU's in the implementation of SM Foundation/SM Cares out-reach and mall-based programs
  • Develop and execute community events that will foster community relations and create awareness to the public about the company's image and advocacies
  • Coordinate and participate in community related projects, e.g. Town Fiestas
  • Prepare tokens/sponsorships for the media, LGU's and other partners
  • Monitor any negative publicity about the mall/company
  • Inform management of potential issues that may affect the company's positive image

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or any related course
  • Two years managerial experience in public relations, community relations, media relations and advertising
  • Candidate will be assigned in SM North EDSA, Quezon City
