As a Data Engineer in the Manila Data and Analytics team, you will be working with traders, desk analysts, and central data teams to provide data and analytics solutions across our Commodities and Global Markets business lines.

What role you will play?

You will work directly with our business, developing data analytics capabilities and solutions, such as the data catalogue, data science workbench, visualisation tools, and real-time analytics. You'll be working with our public-cloud based data lake, data pipelines for internal operational and external fundamental and alternative market data. You will join us on our journey to continually improve the robustness of our solutions and the speed with which we can respond to our business's needs.

What you offer

  • Strong experience in developing, debugging and running Python code in production
  • Experience with AWS eg. S3, EC2, Cloudwatch
  • An interest in data and automation
  • Self-starter, problem solver, and can communicate effectively
  • Exposure to open-source data stack (Parquet/Iceberg, Presto/Trino, Airflow, Hive), cloud data warehouse technology (AWS Redshift, Spectrum), and data science platforms (Dataiku) is advantageous.
